WRC
History
The Women’s
Resource Center was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in
September of 2003. Our initial group of women, who themselves had
experienced struggles with addictions, abusive relationships, divorce, and
trauma, organized to reach out to other women giving hope, support, and
knowledge of resources and connections that had worked for them. In 2007
we served more than 2000 people.
Today WRC is
helping 60 families a month — and that number is growing. It is through
community partnerships and generous donations that we are able to equip
families with new skills to help break the cycle of domestic violence,
addiction, joblessness and homelessness. We empower individuals to become active
participants in their healing process, strengthening families by teaching
responsibility and promoting self-sufficiency.
The Women’s
Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) organization
supported by the grants, private donations and
in-kind support of individuals and organizations. Services we can refer
